SMC Strengthen Ties

SMC have been awarded a framework to provide marine services to the one of the world’s largest offshore wind farms.

SMC’s association with the project dates back to 2011, with the company having provided Consultancy, HSE support, Marine Coordination and Client Representative services during the construction phase of this flagship project.

SMC have recently returned to the project and are now contracted to provide Marine Coordination support for O&M activities across the site. The signing of this latest framework agreement further strengthens the collaborative relationship between the two companies.

SMC’s Operations Manager, Steve Evans, commented, “Our long-standing involvement with the project has been entirely positive and we look forward to continuing and building upon this relationship for many years to come. Our intricate knowledge of the site allows us to provide key bespoke solutions in support of the development and the award of this latest agreement will allow us to continue adding value to operations in the coming years”.

SMC are a global leader in the provision of marine services, having provided solutions to 56 separate offshore wind projects to date, with additional projects expected to be announced in the coming months.
